Verbier is preparing a major redevelopment of its sports and wellness facilities with the creation of a new multi-level sports centre. Designed as a year-round hub for swimming, fitness, relaxation and family activities, the future Verbier Sports Centre will significantly expand the resort’s indoor and all-weather offering.

The project follows the partial destruction of the former complex by fire in 2017 and has since been re-imagined to better serve residents, schools, sports clubs and visitors. The new facilities are currently planned to open in 2028, subject to construction timelines.

Sports and leisure for all ages, all year round

Designed for families, local businesses and resort guests alike, the new relaxation building will bring together heated pools, a children’s area with slides, a spa, fitness spaces, a restaurant and outdoor facilities ideal for summer. The future Sports Centre is envisioned as an intergenerational meeting place — welcoming anyone looking to stay active, unwind or simply spend time together.

With dedicated spaces and a wide range of activities, the centre will naturally complement the sporting and cultural life of Val de Bagnes, enhancing the destination’s appeal in both summer and winter.

A project rethought from the ground up

A key project for the municipality and the long-term development of the resort, the future Sports Centre has undergone a complete redesign. Its architecture and programme of activities have been carefully reworked to create a modern, multi-purpose space equipped to meet the needs of the entire community.

A 25-metre indoor swimming pool with six lanes and a movable floor, making it suitable for lessons and varied uses
Two heated relaxation pools (34°C), one indoor and one outdoor, featuring jacuzzis and massage jets

A calm space for rest and recovery with saunas, steam rooms, sensory showers and massage rooms
